Con 10 nominaciones, la cinta Mank es la principal favorita de este año con postulaciones a Mejor Película, Mejor Actor, Mejor Dirección y Actriz de Reparto, entre otras. Le siguen, con seis, The Trial of the Chicago 7, Sound of Metal, Nomadland, Minari, Judas and the Black Messiah y The Father.
Los Oscars® serán transmitidos por TNT (en español) y TNT Series (en idioma original) el próximo domingo 25 de abril. La cobertura comenzará con la previa “Punto de Encuentro TNT”, desde las 18.30 horas, y continuará con la gala de premiación a las 20.00 horas.
La Academia de Artes y Ciencias Cinematográficas de Hollywood dio a conocer la lista de nominados para la 93ª edición de los Oscars® para su gala del domingo 25 de abril. TNT y TNT Series realizarán una cobertura especial del mayor reconocimiento de la industria cinematográfica que comenzará con el pre-show Punto de Encuentro TNT, a las 18.30 horas, en donde se analizarán los detalles previos de la ceremonia, los favoritos, datos curiosos y entrevistas a distintas personalidades. Posteriormente se emitirá la ceremonia, en vivo y en directo, a las 20.00 horas.
Las 23 categorías son escogidas por cada una de las 17 ramas que componen los miembros de la Academia, quienes votan a los distintos nominados en sus respectivas categorías. Por ejemplo, los actores escogen a actores y los editores de películas eligen a los editores de películas. En tanto, para seleccionar a los aspirantes a Mejor Película se recibe la opinión de todos sus miembros. Para determinar a los ganadores de cada segmento, los miembros activos de la Academia realizarán las votaciones finales entre el jueves 15 y el martes 20 de abril.
La película Mank es la principal favorita para la 93ª gala de los Oscars® al obtener 10 nominaciones. La cinta es una de las aspirantes a Mejor Película y su actor protagonista, Gary Oldman, está nominado a Mejor Actor. El elenco lo compone además Amanda Seyfried, que es aspirante a Mejor Actriz de Reparto, mientras que David Fincher compite en Mejor Dirección.
La categoría Mejor Película, una de las más atractivas competencias, tiene como postulantes a The Father, Judas and the Black Messiah, Mank, Minari, Nomadland, Promising Young Woman, Sound of Metal y Trial of the Chicago 7.
La carrera para Mejor Actriz tiene como candidatas a Viola Davis (Ma Rayney’s Black Bottom), Andra Day (The United States vs. Billie Holiday), Vanessa Kirby (Pieces of a Woman), Frances McDormand (Nomadland) y Carey Mulligan (Promising Young Woman). Por su parte, los actores que disputan el Oscar a la principal categoría masculina son Riz Ahmed (Sound of Metal), Chadwick Boseman (Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom), Anthony Hopkins (The Father), Gary Oldman (Mank) y Steven Yeun (Minari).
